Club night..

Went along to Club Night last night, best one in a long time with quite a high turnout.

- a club exhibition layout I hadn't seen before, but obviously a long-established one, set up and running with a couple of younger relatives of one of the members, being guided through the complex "cab control" control system.

- the O gauge project which has caused more controversy than enough, now cut down to a workable space with a group around it working on whatever it's next incarnation is intended to be

- a USA Dock Tank on the test track, pulling a long string of bogie flats; good pulling power, on tne evidence. Some of these were 3D printed and quite effective with no obvious striations etc.

- a new N gauge layout which has made progress since I last saw it. Chatted about the intended details for the various loading facilities at the dock.

- later on tne test track, a Pennsylvania turbine 6-8-6; strange sound!

- during tea-and-biscuits, met someone who had also been on the project I've just returned from, although not at the same time.

Best club night in some while..

Busy night again at the Club Night, much wiring, sticking and tapping going on. Coaching of additional operators for the main exhibition layout. Amazing what the prospect of a major show in 3 weeks time, can result in.
