So.....
... I've gone and started a new layout project. When will I ever learn?
I may have mentioned it before but now I call it official as the track is down, ballasted and the station is taking shape very nicely. It had to be redesigned after realising I made a slight boo-boo with the track laying and it meant that my intended plan of a 2-platform island terminus with a siding would not be possible without altering the track plan (couldn't be bothered, to be honest). So it is one platform with two sidings, all linked together unlike the previous layout, Leahurst Road and that would mean more operational interest.
The name will be Leahurst Road, same setting and era as the previous. I'll go into detail over the weekend, for now here's a few photos
Looking towards the terminus end, showing the two sidings and the curved platform, a new experiment for me and it worked out nicely.
159001 was on gauging duties but in two car form, to make sure the curved platform was clear even for the longest of carriages.
Taken while the ballast was drying, 166202 & 159001 stabled up with the centre cars missing. 73129 awaits at the station.
