N Gauge loco stopped running

I have purchased two Graham Farish class 47s and installed DCC sound into one of them. The chip would not accept the code so removed it and put the blanking chip back in.
Boom, the lights still work but no movement. I switched out the mother board with the other new loco and still no movement. Put the good board back into my untouched loco and now it doesnt move either. I have done DCC sound in a few of my other locos with no issues.
Does anyone have an answer?

A lot of the problems with non-running Farish Diesels with circuit boards can be traced to the 'fingers' that take the power to the motor contacts. Often these don't work/transfer the current. I often now hard wire from the CB to the motor to prevent this re-occuring.
