My Dad built them for real at Fleming and Fergusson's shipyard on the River Cart, which feeds into the Clyde . He did his engineering apprenticeship there .

 

I've often wondered what it would be like to build a ship kit again . My main issue is where to put it when finished!

This one doesn't take up too much room - fortunately.

Looks really good. I like the rigging on the mast.   The finished model is well detailed. Do you think the kit detail is better on the newer but smaller scale kit than the older 1:72 scale one?
