As its my Birthday I decided to treat myself to a new loco, not that it was a big spend mind you, It cost the princely sum of ??15 on ebay

biggrin.gif It needs a repaint and some details and weathering but for that price its a cracking runner.

After spending the afternoon doing the last minute jobs to the On30 modules that I have kept putting off, I then loaded the car for the Crewe Exhibition tomorrow and found I had an empty shed.. So I had a bit of a play with some track on one half of the G scale baseboard.

The thinking is that the back two lines in the distance that curve into each other will feed a hidden sector plate on the back half of board 2, and the front line that is missing a point will feed the scenic line at the front of board 2.

Happy Birthday (for whenever),

So tell us the make and method of propulsion, I assume Battery, and remote control again??

Does it approximate to any known prototype?

Thanks Don.

Make : Playmobil !

Propulsion : Battery

Control : R/C

Not sure about prototype, Im guessing the Playmobil people used a picture of something when they sat down, but it is probably heavily influenced by having to fit on there standard motor block as regards dimensions.

Its fair to say it looks pretty plastic at the moment, but Im hoping once I have added a new paint job, some finer details and some weathering it will look less like a toy more like a model.

The big test of Toy/Model is next saturday when my 5 year old nephew comes, at the moment I will lat him play unsupervised with my new "toy" loco, but if he comes back in a month will I be so care free ??

Model = toy the kids cant play with ?
