Inspired by @The Angry Scotsman I thought I'd hava a go at 6264 as it's running today. I will do this similar to the brake runners - separate pieces easy to assemble. I will do the chassis and trying the bogies too....

Looking good.  The only thing missing (I think) is a window left to one of the doors, but I’m currently looking thru photos.

I had thought that but I’m sure I have seen both sides without that window - I counted the roof ribs from each end and sure I have photos of both sides without it! I also saw that the step level lights have also been removed.

I’d be interested to see what you come up with!

I checked with Roland and he confirmed the window is still present on the guard side.  I spent last night looking and did find 2 pictures with the other side of 6264.  The highlighted window is still in situ

He also said the roof is different too, just waiting on a picture from him.

Do you have any of the fuel tank detail for the underside? That's the other bit to work on.

Bare with me, I do have a photo from May 2020.  I’m away from the laptop just now but will upload later on.

Well, minor things to sort. Not sure how good the bogies will be - probably need bearings reaming and a pivot washer. Going to add the details to the ends too. But, I like how this has turned out:

With ends, air tank added and a repair to the hanger. I ran it on the track (not glued together just a push fit) and it seems pretty good. I think this prototype is ready for a final assembly!
