3) The Locomotive Fleet, part 3.

Hello again. Back for more, are you? All right, if you insist...

East Kent Railway no. 5 (Oxford Rail)

I've painted the wheels and underside of the boiler in a matching green, and am currently varnishing and weathering. The motor is quite weak, and doesn't like starting from cold, so I usually only run it on light trains in the summer.

London, Midland & Scottish Railway no. 7287 (Bachmann)

There's not much to this one. I'm going to renumber it (currently it's 7309), paint the cab, and do some weathering. Fairly decent model.

Thomas & Friends 'Rosie' (Bachmann)

Prop replica of Rosie, being made from the Bachmann model. Since taking this photo, she's been lined, and is currently being varnished. Rosie is honestly one of Bachmann's best Thomas models, as she has a smooth motor and proper bearings.

London & North Eastern Railway no. 2564 'Knight of the Thistle' (Hornby)

A model railway isn't complete without one of these, is it? Wonderful runner. I've fitted the detail pack, but it still needs weathering and a crew fitted. I think a matt varnish to the black areas would work a treat too...

Port of Bristol Authority no. 39 (Hornby)

The huge chunky metal running plate on this one is awesome. It runs nicely too. Needs some weathering.

Arriva Trains Wales no. 158 824 (Bachmann)

The first multiple unit on my railway, this thing is just awesome, with two motors and working lights. I've got a pack of passengers to fit, and it needs weathering. A nice little weekend project.

British Rail no. 37 043 'Loch Lomond' (Bachmann)

I saw this for a good price, so I picked one up. I love 37s. They've got such big noses and such a powerful look.

Network SouthEast no. 47 598 (Hornby)

Nicely detailed, albeit simply. It's a good runner despite the traction tyres. Definitely one of the best in Hornby's Railroad Plus range.

My word, that's the end of part 3, and I've still got eight more locos to show you! I'll have to see you in part 4...
