Hythe Parkway - 1 down, 2 to go...
Hi Guys,
Just returned from the Newbury Show with Hythe! All in all, it was the best the layout has ever performed! The stock performed well, all but one point work faultlessly (but after a while that point worked well!), the new lighting gantry worked well (after we stopped breaking the bulbs! ).
We had an extra piece of stock with us, in the form of a Hornby Class 395, which was lent to us by High Wycombe & District Model Railway Society member Paul Chapman (Thanks Paul!). It did play up at the start, due to it derailing on the curve, but after putting the power car on the other end, it ran perfectly. I have to get one now!
The good thing was we have had an invite to atend Ab-rail at Abingdon lesiure centre next march and a possible invite to Reading in September! What surprised me was that at the beginning of the day there were 12 leaflets on the front and at the end, there was 1!
A few pictures, mainly of the Class 395:
The Layout set up and ready to go! (Dad at the time was talking!):

The very old and very new at Hythe Parkway:
We still have Ris-ex on the 20th February and Churchrail on the 6th March. Hopefully the Layout will work as well as today!
Comments welcome
