Potterbourne

Thought it was about time to create a blog for myself on this newly designed forum so here goes:

Potterbourne is a small GWR branchline set in the heart of Devon. The layout was designed to satisfactorily represent an actual location and be portable for exhibitions. Potterbourne took around 6 months to complete and compromises changes in my ability, first of all starting out with code 75 and progressing onto hand built track. Also which I will post in the coming weeks I have progressed into loco kit building, Firstly starting off with a 14xx and a Bulldog kit. I have tried to keep the stock on the layout down to a minimum of rtr stock and built most of the wagons from kits and I've even tried out scrath building. I have tried to weather or detail stock to some standard to make it noticeably different from rtr products.

So far Potterbourne has made its debut at a Local exhibition however I am currently looking for a few more shows to exhibit the layout at. It is booked to appear at the Aldeburgh show later this year and March Next year.
