And just for Ressaldar and 28ten, here's one I made earlier :D Great minds etc.

Still awaiting final detailing and painting, and yes, it's a fantastic kit.

Hi Richard,

I trust that it will have a proper works plate - Ashford/Brighton/Eastleigh on it rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

That looks rather good. Is that a cast firebox? Or is it just the light

It is a cast 'pewter' firebox. There is precious little 'white-metal' in the kit - firebox, smokebox door, backhead and tender springs/axleboxes - the rest of the castings are brass or nickel-silver.

Hi, That does look good. just one question though - whose kit is it? I struggle to get to many shows so I'm not too familiar with the various kits available. I would like to build an 8f at some point, I believe MOK do a nice kit but I've yet to see it in the flesh or photo's.

Hi Adrian

It is an MOK 8F. I unreservedly recommend it. It's going to the BRM show at Peterborough for my demonstration stand, along with the A3.

Very pretty indeed. Another masterpiece Richard.

And though my own 7mm modelling concentrates on things a lot narrower in gauge, i find your models to be very inspiring.

I have had a better look at the picture now I am off the mobile, and that really is very nice :icon_thumbsup2:

The tanks for the MOK Pannier are pewter as well but apparently they have been machined is some way

I thought it might be a MOK but I had a slight doubt due to the cast hinges on the smokebox door. Given their well deserved reputation I'd have expected something with a little more "profile".

Don't say that! He's probably already making new ones from strips of nickle silver! It's a very impressive model and inspired me to buy the same kit ( as yet unstarted! ). well worth the trip to Peterborough to see it.
