Having been on Holiday last week with the family, as is always the case when board on the beach my mind wandered to what could I do if I was in the shed. Some time ago I started the G scale micro layout to let mea) do some finer 1:24 detailing than would be normal in the garden.B) give me a chance to run the G stuff even when it was cold and wet.The later of the 2 reasons never really worked out as due to an oversight I built it in 2 halves adding up to 8', as everyone knows an 8' shed is 8' outside not inside, even when empty !!!! So I was stuck with working on it in 2 halves only getting it out when it was sunny which kind of defeated the point. So I determined that when I got home I would sort this out....Today was the day.......

Step 1 get out some delicate tools

Which was used to shorten the G module right end by 10"Step 2 break out the self leveling lazer

Unfortunately the lazer doesn't do the cutting ! just shows where to go with the dremel !

Then a bit of pulling and scrapping to leave .

Which means the G module now sits along the wall in one piece :)

The fork truck I ordered arrived this morning too, which obscures the internal warehouse picture nicely

And with both parts together give better photo opportunities

The observant will notice the G layout is sitting up off the bench by 3 inches, thats so the new N can sit under it, well the unseen reversing loop anyway.

and across the viaduct

And onto the left hand bench which I haven't decided the track plan for yet.

So all in all a productive day :)

looking good kinda reminds me of some where over the border! A black 5 would improve the service !
