Reflections on a days work!

Slowly getting there, but I've run out of corrugated asbestos sheets - annoying because there was only one pack left at the model shop. Never mind - I shall have to source some from an online retailer - along with some plasticard sheets and some more Plastruct bits, Silflor, 009 couplings and some cement rendering plastic sheets.

In the photos below the roof and lattice truss on the hangar has been balanced on top of a Parmesan cheese tub (!).

The pipe bridge has been painted and assembled and just needs to be put into place. The hangar isn't looking as I want currently, but hopefully painting it a neutral light grey will make it look better, as well as a wash of light grey over the windows. I will also extend it when I can get more corrugate asbestos sheets. I apologise for the loose hangar door but it was driving me mad because it kept falling off! The layout is slowly getting there and I hope I can announce officially the layouts next outing if I get on and phone the person who I was meant to phone ages ago...unsure.gif

Jam everytime I see photos of Calshot I'm struck by the backscene - it really sets the tone of the layout so well. Latest work is looking well and if I squint I can see the real promise in this layout :) Hope you get the running quality sorted.

Thanks James. biggrin.gif I am very pleased with how the backscene has turned out and fits the location. It's interesting because the clouds are really noticeable in photos, but (quite) faint to the naked eye. When I've built the new fiddle yard I will have a look at the running issues and hopefully it should just be a case of a thorough clean! biggrin.gif
