Getting going with the Layout

So, after a few months of doing nothing, I started fiddling with the layout again.

The fiddling turned into some major surgery (as always), and that then to some major wiring.

Having returned to work for a few more weeks wizzing up and down the ECML its on hold, but it does give me change to ponder the next stage.

At present I have an 8 x 2 section, BR 60s steam shed, roughed up etc. Next is what to do.

The layout space is now to go into an L shape, measureing approx another 6 x 2 section at the other end, so its what to put in there thats giving me the headache!

Background for this is that the shed is W/riding based, plenty of Jubs/5's/8's, a few Scots and Brits etc, and pleanty of tankies and Mucky ducks etc. All local leeds/bradford and surrounding areas engines.

I have about 90 engines, All DCC chipped, some sound etc.

Ive attached a few pics - this is the first blog so let me know what you think. Or any advice?

Kieran

As its a loco depot perhaps you could include a , coaling stage, ashplant etc you appear to have enough room.

i have a coaling stage ready, infact got 2. My old man built me one out of card, based on an eastern region one such as KGX (34A) had, but then Bachmann did the deed too.

Because the layout is an "L" i think whatll happen is that itll go into a throat which has the towers, might yet use both, and then an ash plant, althought im not sure where an ash plant would have sat!
