Bristol Barrow Road - More Masokits levers and frames

The additional Masokits etches arrived in the post this morning so work on the Metro tank ceased temporarily - I need some extra information on it anyway....

I have now made up the remaining 17 lever slots for the frame and now have the complete 47 positions for the levers which will, hopefully, be added tomorrow.

Here are a few photos of todays work.

Blimey Robin - no wonder why they're from a company called Masokits - to be assembling that lot must make people masochists!

Well what do you expect when the introduction to there brake kits states:

"This fret should not be attempted by anyone who does not have a very large vocabulary of naughty words which have developed over the years' whilst attempting to put impossibly difficult things together."

Enough said.

My comments on the earlier thread refer. I am glad that Robin has demonstrated that the Masokits etch is versatile enough to represent frames other than that which was originally intended. Indeed, by sinking the frame into the floor of a box, so that only the top shows, I suspect that a passable imitation of a typical GW frame could be achieved (although for that, I would still prefer the Smiths etches, if they can still be found!).

Hi Peter,

Good to see you back and thanks for your kind comments. Just added another post which contains some more photos with your lovely coaling tower.

Cheers,

Robin
