Movement at last...

Greetings.

With power to track finally sorted - well, fingers crossed - and a bit of fettling later I managed to try out a bit of shunting tonight. No video I'm afraid as my Fujifilm videos don't seem to want to upload.

A few stills though.

Regards

Chris

Here is a poor quality clip from my phone device, just to prove it works! :P :

Good work on that, seeing the first movement is always good.

Thanks guys, yes it is something of a relief to finally see wagons being pushed through turnouts without derailling! :D

I am still some way from ballasting though. There is still a couple of slight wobbles through two of the turnous which I have yet to resolve - though it was comforting to notice similar on a couple of 4mm stands at the AP last week! I also need to route the isolated sections through the panel switches as its all live at the moment.

Anyway I'll revisit that after a break as I intend to run stuff for a while before I start on the next phase to make sure allus gut.

Actually, I have a little problem when I go on into 3D, because then it will need a home. At the moment it is leaning up as a simple plank against my study wall!

I am contemplating utilising the wall bracket which came with the Lack shelf, if possible.

Then I've got a little 1F sitting in a box on my shelf with gearbox and chassis to build, as well as a 1P kit to brave at some point.

Oh, and theres the small matter of converting an N gauge ( :O )DP1 and B1 to DCC and play test them out on a loop of Kato!

Ah well, no rest...

Perseverence pays off Chris. The stock looks good. If the rest can be to that standard it will be a stunner.

I do hope so, Don.

To be honest, I'll be happy with something a little short of that!

I do not particularly enjoy the more technical aspects of layout building, so will feel more comfortable about the artistic side of things.

I have added a clip - just to prove its working like! Its from my phone, so apologies for the quality.
