If its any consolation I found that the two printers I use (an HP inkjet and a 'Brother' laserject) both print just fine without calibration. You just have to tell 'Templot' you have calibrated (once you've checked!) or it will print 'uncalibrated' on the drawing!

Thanks Ian, I will give that a go as I have tried in the past to calibrate my old HP inkjet, but it would never work properly, so I am thinking of buying a new printer for home I think the Epson or Canon model. I have access to an 43" beam printer at work but don't have the space to build a layout of that size at the moment! Hopefully all will change soon.
