A little more progress! (and a bit it is!)

I spent4 hours yesterday afternoon making and fitting the bridge handrails from 2mm brass square hollow section and 30thou brass wire.

Next job is painting the handrails, note that I have managed to tone down the blue cast seen in my previous entry.

In the background is the basic Wills kit I am using for the bridge keepers cottage.

More as and when

Cheers!

Frank

That's toned down nicely now Frank.

Did you drill the square section to take the handrail wire or is it soldered onto the side of it?

Hi Andy

I thought I had replied to this comment earlier?? so don't know what went wrong there.

Anyway to answer your question.

Yes, I did drill holes through the uprights to take the wire rails. I made a quick simple jig to ensure they lined up.

I also drilled holes for Peco black track pins to fix the rails to the bridge.

Hope this answers your question.

Cheers

Frank
