Could I suggest you look at Scalescenes ... they have a canal lock and narrowboats, you might find useful (you'll need a decent printer but I suggest you try some of the "free stuff" first ...

Hello reemgee and welcome to RMweb. Could I suggest asking your question in one of the forum sections? For example, Scenery, Structures & Transport. The blog area is not really the right place for questions and you can expect fewer people to see them here.
