Welcome to my first ever blog!

The track plan is attached. It was drawn on Xtrk Cad but I have not worked out how to attach an Xtrk Cad file, so I converted it to a JPEG instead. I have annotated this file; it now looks a little busy!

Basically, this 15' x 14' loft based layout is being built in two phases. The first phase is the roundy-roundy element including an urban side incorporating station, small goods area and general post office/dairy warehouse(as my mood suits) and the other side is a country scene. Both are seperated by a scenic break and a fiddle yard. The roundy-roundy phase is being built first; I want to have something moving! Phase one is currently under construction and the baseboards on the station side and fiddle yard area are now complete. I am pleased to say that the layout plan for the station has been printed and fits! I will shortly lay the first section of track!

The second stage is a terminus with extensive goods and a large engine shed which is probably too large for the terminus but its somewhere for my the trains to go!

The layout is based in the LMS in the late 1930's (I am aiming for an LNWR feel in the urban area and Midland in the country section). Other companies will appear when no one is looking! This is a long term project for me, my only goal is to enjoy the experience! :D

My stock is a mix of RTR, modified RTR and kits (More to follow).

Regards

Soney
