In the workshop today is an EM Gauge scratchbuilt (by Mike Edge) model of the last LMS built Black 5 44767 - fitted with Stephenson link motion. An absolute peach of a locomotive!
It has been weathered to represent an engine cleaned at a shed.

So a bit of weathering done today on locomotives for Herculaneum Dock - it is appearing at Southampton Show at the end of this month in much changed format. More tank locos needed so:

The joys of having a number of clients with a mix of scales and gauges - it means I get to do all sorts of weathering and dcc fitting.
So today has seen six On3 wagons - these make Bachmann On30 wagons look small!

Lots of visitors to the demo stand at Warley where quite a few RMwebbers (and others) had a go.
Had a varied assortment of commissions to do over the last week or two (and 6 more Conflat As still to weather).

Modified method of weathering valve gear employed - supplied to me with motion work painted a brown colour - ink added, powder added then "pulled" with a stiff brush.

Just been doing a bit of weathering on an Industrial. Its a Kitson "long boilered" 0-6-0T and has been scratchbuilt, painted and lined by Mike Edge in 4mm OO

Been re-gauging/fitting 3 link couplings and weathering a number of wagons this week.

Been busy with a bit of sound fitting and weathering over the last couple of days.
A couple of examples
First up a Caprotti 5 from a Comet Kit built and painted by Steve Haley Graham Varley. I fitted a Loksound V4 (sound from Digitrains) chip in the tender and 2 sugar cubes in the front frames (isn't EM gauge wonderful sometimes?) and then weathered it.
Question - were any Caprottis ever kept clean?
and for something different a Heljan CoBo - re-gauged by Mike Edge to EM. I
Due to other commitments I have not managed to undertake a lot of weathering recently ..but I have started to work through the backlog today starting with 10001.
This is a Bachmann model regauged to EM by Mike Edge. I have fitted a Legomanbiffo 37/0 sound chip and then weathered it.

Been busy weathering while at a show at Normanton last weekend. As part of the demo I was asked to show what a but of weathering can do to a set of Departmental wagons. These are all Cambrian kits built and painted by another, I have regauged them to Em and added couplings the a bit of weathering..
and, at the same time, I used a DJH kit built Fairburn Tank to demo light weathering...

Been very busy preparing wagons and vans for weathering. I have built some vans, rewheeled or regauged a number of others, fitted couplings and added transfers as required.
I am just about finished with Fish Vans (5 Cambrian ones are being built with longer wheelbase chassis) so these
