Combwich 1960

Here we are back at Combwich looking south into the midday sun, it looking like a windy day judging by those clouds. A little flare from the sun has been captured unfortunately across the smokebox door of 44417, the result of not using a lens hood. Cats, dustbin liners, 1959 and all that.....

Railex 2012 - and what a show it was!

Art Deco Electric Street Light

The underside of reflector on the real lamp would have a mosaic of mirror glass like on a glitter ball - obviously too small to model. Ivan Locksmith's Jowett Javelin

Influenced by Ivo Peters' fabulous photo of of his famous Bentley posed next to a down goods train at Binegar (or was it Chilcompton?); Ivan Locksmith didn't delay in creating a similar shot to Ivo on the day he part exchanged his elderly Austin Seven for a shiny Jowett Javelin. An Italian with Great Legs

Ah - gotya! I expect you were hoping for some prime totty! Sorry, nothing so exciting, but what would you expect on a toy train BLOG? Austerity can be colourful!

Grubby Green Planet

Some old bull for Tuesday

Last night another quick dig through Ian Locksmith's print collection revealed another photo of the Brewhouse Quay on the edge of Bath. Judging by the angle, this one appears to have been taken from another canal boat and from the time around 1952 when the brewery had a major rebuild to get rid of the wartime damage - the barge to the left being used as a water-born skip. My First White Metal Kit

Something for the Weekend - LBSCR 8 Ton Van

The Monday Management Tour

Barking Bill

Thursday Pic - that 7F again....

Here's a spare shot of the new Bachmann SDJR 7F 2-8-0 left over from the other day, and whilst it wasn't taken specifically for the cab detail, it does demonstrate how nice the detail is from a normal viewing angle. Sweet Running Hornby Pug

Steam on Cement Quay?

Wallpaper for Wednesday

In the late summer of 1964 Ivatt Class 2 tank No. 41248 slows for Catcott Burtle with the 2pm service from Evercreech Junction to Highbridge.
