well one of the jobs i did today was to finish off the Comet kits kit No W46 of the Dia F24 slip coach
I have found this as with all the other Comet kits i have built a nice kit to work on with no problems though i did replace the seating from the kit with southern pride seats
In todays post i have receved back from Dave Studley 3 lots of 2 GNR coaches i still need to fit the glazing in to them put heres some pics

one of the jobs this week is a Martin Finney LSWR low roof van kit Dia 1410 & as i do not normally build wagons i have put this build in My Blog
so far i have got the chassie to a rolling stage & there are 26 parts to it
the build is taking a lot longer than it takes me to build a coach as the kit Can build to any of 3 Diagrams which can have any of 5 brake types & 2 axle boxes so just finding the part takes longer than fitting it
the one i am building is to dia 1410 fitted w
Today I am painting coach one is the GWR slip coach which I have painted the ends black and a Chivers LNER 4 wheel brake van (pigeon) again its in teak livery
The next job for this coach is to letter up the sides then varnish them , glaze & fit the roof.
well one of the items i have been working on today was fitiing the glazing & chassie to the GWR L23 TPO this is now finished apert from fitting the No's but i need some more 1's to number this TPO
I have also been priming the body & chassie of the Midland TPO
the next coach i am building is a 5577 kit of a Midland Dia D572 a 12 wheel 3rd class Dining car
this afternoon i have been working on a set of etches from 247 Development for a Highland Railway
heres what you get from 247
well i had a brass chassie which with a bit of triming fits this needs to be 184mm long
i have built up the body without its cast fittings & the chassie still needs truss rods & it castings fitting which i hope to get done tomorrow which i got from 247
with the etch you get a roof which needs rolling i will also do this tomorrow
the bogie are from 24
Well to day i have fitted the glazing & asembled the coach
I have found this set of etches very nice to work with & i am very pleased with the out come

Back to working on the Finney kit today
so far i have built up the sides & ends only using solder.I have just given them a wash
& once i have had lunch i hope to get the 4 parts solded to getter

All to be finished in BR blue/gray livery & today i have painted the coach ends blue & made a start on the 1st chassie which is for the Dia 72
Also today i have given the GWR TPO a coat of GWR Cream paint

Well the M&NEJPS / Midland TPO is now painted but i am wating for the transfers to arrive so i can get this & the GWR TPO finished this week
Today i have also started the Midland 12 wheel all 3rd diningcar the blog of that will be posted after tea
well i have got the body built apart from fixing the roof on once this has been done i will need to fill in around the net doors
I have drilled out the roof ready for the vents which will be fitted once i have finish fitting the roof but that will be tomorrow Now as will the chassie
I boboed when fitting the ends as i got then the wrong way & had to remove them & re-fit at the right ends
The Highland TPO is now in LMS maroon & i hope to get the roof painted tonight
A Today as well as painting the Highland TPO I am making a start on a GWR Dia L23 TPO from the 247 Developments range
Heres what you get in the box i am going to be replacing the etched Gangways with 247's cast ones
now off to switch on the iron
well so far today i have built up the roof & fitted mopst of the underframe casting but as these are not in the kit i need to order some Dynamos & gangways tofinish of this coach
I found the roof nice to build & roll thow it was a tight fit between the ends when i build the all 3rd i will build the roof 1st so that the roof will fit better

So far i have built most of the chassie brasswork apart from the solebar steps
After lunch i hope to get the rest of the chassie done & make a start on the body
this morring i have put on theLMS P3 lining on to the ex-Midland TPO & as the Money went out of my bank yestoday i hope the transfers will arrive later Today once the postman has been

i do not like coach kit that are built up with the chassie as part of the body
Next up is a 7mm/O gauge Baby Deltic
Well today i have managed to finish off the Highland TPO so it ready for painting the Mail dropoff Equipment & net will be fitted after painting
After rolling the roof i fitted it along with the roof lights which needed the ends filling wich i managed to do with low melt solder I also made the end steps plus fitted the end grabrails
the truss rods were made up from .7mm wire & some split pins the rest of the chassie detail was then fitted all of this is from 247 Development

At the moment i have a Comet W46 GWR collett Double ended composite slip coach which is in the midle of been painted the next job on this coach is painting of the brown
thanks for the coments chaps latter i will have a Midland Railway Dia 572 12 wheel 3rd class dining car which ran with the Dia571 but once i have finished this coach i have 3 TPOs to build before i can build the Dia 572
Back to the Dia571 well i have built up the chassie, body & bogie which i have replaced with ones from the 247 Developments range & i will be sell the 2 pair of 5522 Midland Bains 12 wheel bogies from this & the Dia 572 kit
i still have the corridors to build up
then after Lunch i have built up the body & roof the next job is to drill out the roof for the vents & lamp tops
i hope to be picking up the chassie etch tomorrow then i can hopefully get it finished apart from painting before the weekend
The Mk1 have had to be put on hold as i had to work on my Forks Trestel layout to get it ready for this weekend
Today i have made a start on the 247 Developments etches for a Midland / M&NEJPS TPO
So far i have formed up the roof, sides & sorting duckets(i think thats what you call them) the i have built these up in to the two sides
plus made a start on soldering the ends to the sides
