Blue Pullman in the snow Entry posted by Barry Ten November 19, 2012 1,420 views Share
 Followers 2 Couple more shots of the BP under moonlight, this time on the winter module. Looking at this model now, I'm thinking how great a full HST set with lighting would be... 16

Matthew Cousins 703 Posted November 20, 2012 That is very evocative, I have always liked the blue Pullman, as it seemed to stand out amongst the smoky murk of the Midlands, surrounded by steam locos. These images are very good, makes me want to get the paintbrushes out for a new picture! 1 Link to comment
RMweb Gold Barry Ten 22,150 Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Matthew - I bought a couple of prints off you at the Bluebell earlier last year - one of Midford viaduct I think? It was a rotten rainy day but we still enjoyed our visit. I want to have another go at the snow backscene and have been looking at some winter paintings by the likes of David Bellamy, Terry Harrison etc. 1 Link to comment
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow 58,203 Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Wonderful, Al, as 69843 says, even better than the previous ones! That snow is very effective, I'm reaching for my hot water bottle even now!... 1 Link to comment
RMweb Gold wenlock 4,044 Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Just needs a snowman and a few footprints leading to it and youve got this year's Christmas card sorted! All joking aside, I think it looks fabulous. Dave 2 Link to comment
RMweb Gold Barry Ten 22,150 Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold You already planted a seed with that snowman idea, Dave - I've been looking through the internets for 00/H0 snowmen... (of course I could scratchbuild, but where would I get the carrot?) 3 Link to comment
halfwit 1,861 Posted November 20, 2012 Prieser did a snowman in a set including a Father Christmas and some children - bit expensive though! I reckon that a stooped figure struggling up the road towards the cottage looking decidedly miserable would be quite apt given the amount of snow on the ground! Paul. 3 Link to comment

RMweb Gold wenlock 4,044 Posted November 20, 2012 RMweb Gold I think you've got to scratch build the snowman from milliput, any man who can carve 2mm scale alligators should have no problem! Dave 2 Link to comment

The scene looks superb Al, and somehow, the Blue Pullman adds to the cold atmosphereYes, a full set of interior coach lights would look fabRe your snowman, yes, go for it!I'm sure you could build one from DASand Wenlock, isn't there some tiny dental wedge material which is orange in colour?CheersMarc 1 Link to comment
