That deserves a tonne more attention than most other "quick videos"! Very convincing Mike.

 

The vegetation in the foreground is superbly observed and modelled, I think. Not sure why but the colour scheme on Cheslyn seems to have a family likeness to Geoff's Penhydd and the landscaping that Barry Ten and Dukedog do. Not sure what it is, could it be a Barry Norman influence?

Yes, Penhydd is very much the inspiration for Cheslyn.  I love the brambles theme on Geoff's superb model and I'm trying to emulate the effect - mine are just bits of Heki sea moss trees spread out over the static grass. I think Heki trees are brilliant for modeling.  So much so, in fact, that I've just ordered some darker green ones from Howard Scenics.  Can't wait to start some more planting!!
