Knuckles

Ook, high Level gearbox arrived today so I spent an hour or two carefully building it.

Apart from me not shaving the crank pin retainers enough, and the coupling rods 'possibly' being a wee bit slack, here is the resultant running.

I'm very bloody happy! Also I think it's safe to say you have another High Level proselyte.

Please see what you think. :D

I think that you've done really well to get a bare chassis, without the benefit if a weighted body, to run that smoothly and with good track holding. Congratulations!

Just one thought. I might be wrong but on very close observation, immediately after reversing, it looks as if the coupling rods go slightly out of line near the top of their rotation. It might just be an optical illusion or something needing a slight tweak?

No, I think your right.  They are a bit slack I think, but this is my 2nd ever working chassis and when it (finally!) runs this well I'm reluctant to tweak it yet.

Thanks for the comment. :)
