'D' Shop - Welders at Work

PaternosterRow

The Express Models welding unit has finally gone in and, apart from eagerly awaiting some goodies from Ehattons, the layout is more or less complete.

The building could be slotted into a larger layout if need be but that's for another time. At the moment I'm having a bit of fun modifying a SuperQuick Ash Plant for a small shed scene.

Hi Adrian

Thanks, In trying to create atmosphere I use a bit of smoke.  The welding unit from Express Models is brilliant and I've had a lot of fun with it on a few of my models.

Oh WOW!!!! This is the sort of level of atmosphere that many of us can only dream of!!

Well done!

 Hi Frappington Jct,

Thanks for the response.   I've trying to get the same type of atmosphere that fellow RMwebber - Horsetan - gets.  Only his photos are ten times more realistic - you must have a look at his blog.

It's getting better & better.

I like the way you create atmosphere to your engine shed.

Cheers Job,

I think the Scalescenes Painted Brick Texture really helps with this.  It really is so realistic, even from close up.

Hi Mike, fantastic shots once again! The suspended cab is a really nice touch.

I seem to have missed this. I know of Horsetan's gallery but is there a blog too? Couldn't find it in his profile, but is it maybe off-site?

Hi Mikkel,

Many thanks.  Stupid me - I've got my Horsetan and Sandhills mixed up!!!!  I meant Sandhills blog - sorry.

Hi Mike, ok thanks, yes I can certainly see a similarity in the atmopshere there.
