Phoebe and Teign. Industrial locos for my Teign Valley Project

Sometimes partners go together quite well. There's been Cagney and Lacey and Morse and Lewis for example.

Now we have Phoebe and Teign who will be the industrial motive power on my Teign Valley project. Phoebe will also migrate to the East Midlands for work on Juniper Hill when required also.

I've discussed the build of Phoebe in other entries but she was all but finished except for her name and works plates. These are custom made ones from the excellent Narrow Planet team and are works of art in their own right. Here's the link to Narrow Planet:

Here she is in all her glory complete with Manning Wardle works plates.

Teign is a Model Rail/Dapol Sentinel that has been weathered and nameplates attached once again from Narrow Planet.

The narrow gauge wagon in the background of both the shots is one that came as a free gift when joining the 009 Society. It is a Colin Ashby kit that was surplus to requirements so I finished it in a battered state.

Cheers,

Mark

That's my fault with some dodgy spelling! :D

Nothing to do with Narrow Planet.

It's something I can live with and these things did happen so I'll not be loosing sleep over it.

Thanks for pointing it out however. ;)

Cheers,

Mark

OK but I would have queried the spelling had it been me.A big fan of 'Friends' that I was. ;)

Were you now! :)

This had nothing to do with Friends however. It's one of my favourite girls names though and because the loco will be used on Juniper Hill and the Teign Valley layout I thought a name would be better than something location specific.

Kind of adds to the charm of the loco though.  Saying that it next time I put an order in with NP I could get a corrected set made up.

Cheers,

Mark

Those are lovely, Mark.  Mis-spelt name or not, Phoebe is a bit phwoarr, I could fall for her in a big way ;-)

I hadn't noticed the spelling, the quality of the modelling kept taking my attention away from it, the steam locomotive in particular is fantastic, if I could only produce one in N

Thanks chaps ;)

It been nice to see these two finished as they've been sat on the bench awaiting there identities.

Robin is right in away and next time I place an order with Narrow Planet I'll order a new set and make sure I spell the name right :D

Cheers,
