Hello.

Well my focus has been on the point rodding and the stuff seems endless! I dread to think how long I have spent on the stuff but I can report that its nearly comming to an end (I cant believe it!). There is a little bit left to do which I want to replace and then painting and sticking in place but I will be VERY glad when its all done.

Anyway, here are a few pictures of the recent work...

First time I have seen a mention of magnification being employed! Superb Work-(Wo)manship is the result! I'm admiring the perseverance too.

It's definitely coming together.

What will you do to fill your modelling time once this is finished though?

Yes, I havent got super powers or anything, I needed a magnifying glass for this stuff.

Theres still plenty to do. It has only taken me about 2 years to get this far with the rodding though. The rate Im going I might get the layout finished by the time I retire!

You're nuts! :)

It's looking great, there's some serious attention to detail there.

Im not nuts, just stupid enough to do something like that! I really regret starting it if I was honest.

remind me - do the signals need wires? or does the token exchange obviate signals (apart from the ground disc)

ps I've got loads of unwanted fishing line if any use (some of it might be metallic - I need to check)

Heh, I think most of us have reached that point at some stage, I know I have in the past.

Absolutely tremendous - the differences between round and square rods correctly portrayed in accordance with WR practice, the use of round rod in the pin joints, and the stepping down in round rod/pinjoints to the cranks.  An excellent job all round Missy and I'm really glad you did start on it (and thank you for providing an illuminated magnifying glass to look at it at Wycrail.

Thats interesting because I wondered about adding wires but I couldnt come up with a robust enough solution to it. How did you do them on your layout?

I agree wholeheartedly.

I really don't think you need to: they're barely visible in many photographs. The pulleys and posts are all I would add.

Tremendous work as usual. The fact that you have impressed the Stationmaster says it all.
