My father built this for my late brother in law who was born and raised in Ledbury where he spent some time on the Banking engines there as a boy before joining up.When he dies my sister gave it back to me

Don't drop it on your foot Barry. Am I right in thinking that the K's kit also allowed you to build the version with the straight frames and running plate?

No it would hurt and not sure about the options as I didn't build it and it was a long time ago...
