Hi All,

Some more progress with the EPB. The spray painting has been completed and I think it has come out well. To my delight (and surprise!) you cannot see the joins in the MBSO. It needs a bit of tidying up around the cab areas and it's bufferbeams painting black. Then it will be ready for glazing and transfers. Still waiting for the motorbogie to arrive which is frustrating, but that gives me time to work on other things I suppose. Here are some pics.

It is starting to look the part. This is an easy way to add to my EMU fleet. A HAP would be possible using parts of a BG bodyshell for the toilet windows. I may be tempted to do this in the future to run with the VEP/HAP combination I already have.

Cheers for now, Ian

Hi Ian,

The motor is going to be the 5 pole version of Hornby's 4 wheel bogie, as used in the 25 and 110 Dmu. I have used one in my 4VEP and it is smooth and powerful. I will be using a Southern Pride mounting bracket specifically designed for this bogie.

Cheers for now, Ian
