Scaleforum Urmston.

I did my usual visit to the scale exhibition at Urmston last weekend. Most enjoyable.

I was very impressed with the progress made on Liverpool Lime Street. Like a number of people, I had heard the comments, 'Dosen't work. Boring ' etc, etc!! The layout has always been a thing of beauty! It reminds me of visits to 'The Pool' in the 60's and 70's. I had always felt that this was a layout that was going to come in to it's own!

Saturday proved me right!

I must apologise that I didn't ask the name of the owner. He was very honest about the problems they had experienced! I think the man is a modeller after my own heart. I asked him about the rake of Graham Farish suburban coaches he was running. The same as me, apart from the fact that he had managed to rewheel the bogies. I have rebogied mine with Bachmans.

The whole thing is now operating as good as it looks. The banking of heavy trains is coming. I can't wait to see that!

Chris.
