How many ex LM design 2-6-4T can you have?

Long time since I posted on this blog. Today I was looking for a loco and came across a number of locos I hadn't photographed for my loco list. A lot are 2-6-4T - luckily they will come in handy for Mike Edges' extended version of Herculaneum Dock.

DJH Fairburn tanks awaiting weathering and couplings having been purchased recently.

Hi Barry, I have three, Fowler, Stanier and Fairburn, All r-t-r. I also have bits from another Fowler. The Fairburn and bits are surplus to my requirements.

OOh err. I have another couple of Staniers as work in progress. Mix in a Bachmann Std 4MT, a repainted Hornby Dublo one and a DJH one - well it may be I don't need all of these...but they are nice.

Yes there is. I need to measure them up.

My mainline jubilee looks a lot better with new Comet cylinders which are larger than the original plastics ones.

A big fan of the big 2-6-4Ts myself. A pair each of Standards and Fairburns plus a Stanier which although not ScR residents in my period of interest, did operate out of Carlisle Canal and Tebay and therefore align with other fields of interest.

The 2-6-4Ts were nice.. mine appear on a number of layouts not least Herculaneum Dock.. I have finally sold a Std 4MT tank as I am less likely to use one of those...still have two kicking about theough
