DCC trials...

So, loco #420 (an eBay impulse buy) has belatedly been given track trials now the DCC system is working at the club test track. I like this loco; basically a modified Bachmann 2-8-0 to give a more 'Colorado" look, plus DCC and sound

The BLI 2-8-0 has also been on test, I've identified the sound switch under the tender water filler. This loco definitely doesn't have the same pulling power as the Bachmann, nor is the sound as good but I coukd see it as a good "exhibition" workhorse

The "other" Bachmann 2-8-0 I bought on eBay a while ago, proves to have not only a DCC chip already fitted (I overlooked this before, because I didn't have DCC available, it wasn't so advertised and it ran on DC on test), but to have a "yard pilot" and working front coupler fitted. I had either forgotten, or overlooked this, it having been out aside so long.
