Railway section expands.

Well I was right, the newly working railway section (the previously scenic background) is extremely boring to operate! So in between exhibitions I did a you do, take a saw to it all to fit a 3 road fiddle yard at one end, this is at a higher level (obviously) to the trams and has been made removable for ease of access and because I intend to carve the original board about a bit more after the next exhibition (Perth Green, Jarrow, this weekend coming). I want to add another side street to allow a further section of Faller CS and a holding area for more FCS vehicles.

Anyway progress has been good and just needs the track installing now (it's all been painted post pics)

I've actually thought about this (for a change.....!) and even planned for the continuation to the left when the next board is built, I must admit I'm giving serious thought to breaking through the layout at the other end to fit a cantilevered 2/3 rd fiddle yard there to, then it will actually look as if it is running from 'somewhere' to 'somewhere'

Now I can go out and actually buy stuff for a change, then again I actually enjoy building things so some of the railway rolling stock and motive power will have to be built rather than bought!
