Hello and Welcome
I have wanted to build a layout based on a real location for the last 2 years, Ive chose to do Stoke Summit which is 100 miles from London and 5 miles from Grantham, Big thanks to Tony Wright and Wolverhampton Model Railway Club as they built a layout based on the Stoke Summit many years ago.
I have already made a start on the layout, first task is to build the big fiddle yard that will hold all of the trains.
I will keep you updated but if anyone as any photos of the real location in the 50s and 60s please post them here as im finding it hard to find photos at the moment.
More on this soon. including photos next week of the progress.
