Good morning,

Just a quick plug to say KoL will be appearing next Saturday at the 1 day exhibition in Tonbridge, Saturday 18 February 2017.

This will be the first time (other than a preview at the 2mmFS AGM) that the layout appears in DCC mode and since then 37414 has been sound chipped. Have been testing the fleet and big thanks to Pixie who managed to breathe life back into two of the locos :good:

Due to work commitments I haven't been able to finish 24124, 37025 and 26040 but they are chipped and await detailing, respray and final decs.

Here's the fleet in totality during testing yesterday - all are chipped and the next one for sound will be one of the class 24's...

Do come along and say hello - I shall be there with my youngest son Jo who is chief operator now ;)

Good to hear KoL is out on the road again. ;)

Think the DCC sound element will certainly add to the presentation especially with that guttural Class 37 thrash! :D

One good thing about small layouts like KoL is you don't need too many locos....... ;)  Then again! :D

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks also Mike for your kind comments.

As I will have Llangerisech at the Tonbridge show too, I was going to offer to bring along extra DCC diesels - but I think you have sufficient there to nearly fill the layout! I will be interested to hear how effective the sound chip is in the 37.  See you there.

Ha!

Thanks Nigel - actually only 5 of the above will be in use at Tonbridge but I will bring the lot as a back up.

See you Saturday...

Good luck at the show Pete. Does your recent appointment of a chief operator free you up for additional nattering then?

Watch out for the bad throat and jaw ache. Nattering all day can be quite taxing.

Thanks Andy - absolutely...means I get to run a few trains but also a look around the show

Sounds like that's spoken from another Chief Operator... ;)

Have a good show Pete. I may get to see the layout one day. I never had problems with sore thumbs must be a DCC thing. I do like the lenz ones with a knob (a real luddite)

Thanks Don - hopefully it will be around for a while and if I get to build Thurso it will have a new lease of life...
