High-tech cradle in use to support upside down model while underparts are dirtied. The battery is used to turn the wheels during airbrushing, to avoid paintless shadows from the connecting rods and to get to those parts of the wheels hidden behind the frames.

Mike - do you mask off the wheel treads and backs of the wheels (where the pick-ups touch) or do you clean them off after spraying?

Got one of those blue cradles too from the local bike shop. I was looking for some white flat foam for my daughter's school project and they gave me a length of the blue stuff, used to protect the bike wheels I think. Excellent cradle.
