Johnson Street IEMD: Progress update: June 2019 - Part Two
Having had some good news on the progress of Johnson Street IEMD, the guys have been hard at it, there was a but too much creative licence from them initially but it appears they are back on track now they know what was desired. Further pictures have come through today regarding the cosmetic updates as below.
Pictures top left to bottom right
1 The electric shed picture just has show covers over the inspection pits which will be lit up at both diesel/repair and electric shed
2 The beginnings of the access road to the electric shed - and the entrance into the section of trackwork which is going to be a future spur to a branchline and freight yard.
3 The new diesel/repair shed which just appeared, at the right time at the right place for £35 - and it looks the part, more so than the plasticy electric designed shed from Continental Europe
4 The latest proposed place for the Diesel refuelling point - this is something which has been repositioned about half a dozen times, i'm still not sure its where it needs to be - but never mind - its there for now
5 In this picture you can see part of the accessway for workers going over to the electric shed and also the ballasting work which has been done
