Johnson Street IEMD: Progress Update 16th August 2019
The latest update from Johnson Street IEMD
16th August
The emphasis of detailing work has moved from the area around the Electric Shed to where the long term maintenance shed, fuelling point and storage sidings sit. This area will be non electrified and will see a hive of activity from the weekly fuel tank arrival and departure plus the maintenance access and shunting of locos being worked on away from the main depot access and the Overhead Electrification.

Taken by one of the Site Appraisal teams from DB Cargo UK whilst the site is being readied for their use - the fuel delivery point will be accessed by a once weekly delivery of a single tanker brought by rail to the site by a DB 60 or 66.

In time, I expect that several long term storage locos will sit just beyond the fuelling point, a Bachmann 90 in EWS or in RfD. I am currently mulling over the idea of a former RfD90 - maybe 90025 being DB logo'd still in RfD grey as a depot shunter for operations under ''the knitting''
