Bakewell layout in April Model Rail magazine

Just had confirmation that my "Bakewell" layout is due to be published in the April edition of Model Rail magazine. It is due out on the 16th April and will also be on the Model Rail Facebook page. I am not sure of the availability in newsagents due to the current Corona virus emergency but hopefully some stores will be open to purchase the magazine.

 

Meanwhile I am on my lunch break with the NHS; I would like to wish everyone in lockdown to stay safe with their families and to stay healthy for their future railway modelling projects.

I shall read the magazine with interest. I helped Stan Roberts with his Bakewell in the 1970s at the Merseyside Model Railway exhibition when I was a lad and my own 7mm layout is called Bakewell Street in his memory. I have tracked down all the Railway Modellers that had his articles on the layout.

Rob, may I echo Gilbert's comments and wish you well in your work in the NHS. 

Gilbert - Stan Roberts is the name I always associate with Bakewell, having read his articles in RM back in the 1970s when I was in my late teens.  Funny how some names come immediately to mind, especially when a railway location or layout is mentioned.
