I've clicked agree to the previous three compliments but I still feel it necessary to add something - exceptional modelling, the roof being particularly stunning.

No doubt about it, that roof is a superb piece of work. Well done!

Such grandeur, I think you must be compensating for all those utilitarian structures on Clevedon 

 

That trussing in particular is spectacular. You'll have to install an interior video camera so we can watch the trains arriving and departing inside!

By way of contrast and perhaps further inspiration, this view is the superb underside of the canopy of Blackfriars Bridge whilst gracing the halls of the NEC last November. Unfortunately this view is not easy to see from the public side, more an occasional treat for the BFB team, so well worth sharing.

I take it that the whole roof will be removable for access - just in case....? Not that we P4 modellers ever have a derailment, of course.

Yes, the whole roof splits away, just in case... 

'Stunning', 'fantastic', 'exceptional', 'wonderful', these adjectives hardly do your work justice, Andrew.

 

The sound you may just have heard was the bar for modelling being moved up another notch (or two). Brilliant work.

I just caught up with this "other" Blog of yours. Amazing etc. as others have said. Having visited when young I'd have thought I'd have good recollections of the station but have to make do with this amazing model in its place.

What motive power do you have planned and what period? At least one 48xx I hope.

thanks for the kind words. It’ll be 1950-60 ish. The rolling stock is in my ‘other other’ blog and yes, the 14xx is already done, 1454 photographed at Yatton in unlined green. All the links disappeared when we had a previous software update. Details here:
