Littleworth Victorian school - part three

Job's Modelling

A pictorial journey:

To test the choice of the textures I started to build the toilet group.

Next step is building the main building of the school.

Then the base had to be made and the school must be glued on the base.

Base made with the help of a frame maker.

The scene would be a photographer taking a picture of Victorian school class for a special occasion.

I hope you have enjoyed this little journey.

Beautiful buildings Job, very convincing and neatly made. When I saw the toilet block in your last post I looked forward to the main school building, and it is very impressive. The windows and glazing work really well.

I wonder what the special occasion is? A class outing perhaps?

Thanks for the nice complement. Actually it's because Miss Shaw is celebrating that's she is a teacher for 25 years at the school.

See the article in The  Middleshire Magazine for Local History.

Great stuff, Job! I actually felt sadness when I read about the school closure :)   Little by little and in different ways you are building the narrative - and physical evidence - of a whole world of its own.

On the subject of creating worlds, I recently revisited some of the fantastic work of Michael Paul Smith. You have probably seen it on the web. His Flickr account is here. There is also a nice documentary made (below). After watching it he is no longer just "the guy who makes cool model cameos", but a real person. Sadly he has now passed away, a good thing the documentary was made.

I have not been on the forum for a while, Job! But delighted to see more of your school project. Lovely modelling, as always!

Yes, and the film is extremely well made too, I think. At first I thought all those accolades on the title screen were humorously meant, but after watching it I can see why it has attracted attention as a documentary in its own right.
