Kent Area Group - Eridge P4

Just had a watch of Eridge, very impressive and interesting.  If they are to be taken down, I hope they are put onto a DVD.

There were some excellent layouts to view and the added bonus was that unlike exhibitions you got a ring side seat and learnt a lot about the  layouts and operations. IMHO i'd like to see one produced for every Scaleforum, but it is a lot of work to produce.

Made for a couple of interesting running sessions to capture the footage and who needs an excuse to run trains

 

An excellent video, disproving the frequent criticism that P4 doesn't work.

 

I particularly liked the ride behind the C2X at the end - it had the feel of those old 1950s cine films you find on the web, of lines near the end of steam and the end of their lives, where the cameraman is being bumped around and the image is quite grainy. It's amazing that you can now do in 4mm scale what people could just barely manage in 12" scale at the time.
