So, the Valentine is at a pausing point;

As I mentioned before, the tracks that came with the kit are worthless.   I will be picking up the aftermarket tracks for this at some point.   Not right away, though.   I just bought an old Celica.   That's going to be a money sink for a minute.   Shame it's still winter.   Doubly shame I haven't a garage.   Working on the Celica is going to be fun.    We'll see.

Thought you were talking about a model there at first! You'll be in need of some soothing uncomplicated modelling sessions then :)

Is it me or do the headlights give it a certain “cartoon character” look?  Bob the Builder vehicles?

Haven't bought the model yet.  I lucked out, there's a kit that really only needs a scratchbuilt grill to be correct.

They do, and contribute somewhat to my distaste for the kit.   Looking at pictures, there is similar detail on the real thing, but this kit is greatly exaggerated.
