Barrow Road Roundhouse Update 1

I have added the rest of the templot track plans and added a few locos for atmosphere - most of them are still in RTR state and will need chassis conversion to P4.

The templot is in need of some tweaking as it was done with a 55ft turntable inside the roundhouse before I discovered that a 60ft Cowans Sheldon unit was installed in 1927.

The Jinty on road 8 is a P4 converted Bachmann as is the WD on the exit road. All the rest will need converting.

Oh wow! The 'external shots' take me straight back to the bridge entrance and looking down that seemingly so long stairway to heaven and would we be spotted by the foreman?

This is just getting better and better.

I can only agree with the previous comments. It's looking better and better. There's huge potenetial here. Mind you, that's a lot of chassis conversions - not too many nights down the pub, I think!!!

Best of luck with the whole project. Can't wait for a glimpse (Scaleforum)!

Dave, there's not just chassis conversions, there's are few kit's lurking around too! Knowing Rob's work rate i'm that when the time comes however progress will again be very impressive! I'm sure some visitor's from Delph will also be most welcome when it's time to start playing trains! As far as Barrow Road is concerned, the more black 5's, 9f's etc the better!

Great news from Bachmann today too, i'll try not to overcrowd the place with 7f's!!!

Repeating the words of other's, the atmosphere the layout is already creating is incredible! If you bend down to baseboard hight and look up at the front of the roundhouse the outline is very imposing!

Me too :) Better still, as this progresses I'll get to see all those parts that we never got to before we were spotted
