In between other projects, I've been tinkering with this loco. Still not finished as of yet, but should be complete very soon. While the sun has been out all day and Stockwell Road set up,I took the time to take some photos of the loco posed on the layout.

Further updates when I've finished the Crompton. smile.gif

Chris I wonder if a dusting of matt varnish might just finish her off and dull down the factory shine the dutch tractors seem to have?

I'd love to see a few more photos of Stockton Road too?

Thanks James, would that just be brush painted on in a light coat?

Still a couple more things to tackle on this one, lowering the body is a must after looking at these photos! When time permits, I will look at replicating the pipework along the underframe.

Will endevour to take some photos of Stockwell Road tomorrow when the sun is hopefully shining, quite for posperity now the layout is up for sale.

Chris - you need it in an airbrush or at least an aerosol really.

As for lowering her - it's easier to cut off the sideframes and mount them higher. Use a slitting disc in a mini drill and re-glue them with superglue. That's what I've done on my model of 37013 and it's made a huge visual difference. Not only does the loco feel lower and heavier, but also, the bogies are narrower and closer to prototype width! :)
