Firstly, thanks for all your feedback - it has been most appreciated and most interesting!

Here's the mock up I started last night - The hangar made out of cardboard is much bigger than I first expected! (Which is why mock ups are so vital).

This is really just one option - by no means the final plan. I'd appreciate any comments, good or bad, or any questions you may have I will be more than happy to answer them for you. I wonder how long it will be till I can safely say I have a final plan?!

Interesting idea! Love the seaplane hanger. The limited space afforded by the real location is actually an advantage in this instance. Don't forget to add Lawrence on his motorbike.

Thanks! Looks like I'll have to find a motorbike and a figure for the layout. Despite the small location, the RAF base still had an air of space to it - mainly due to it's location in the Solent.
