The first train.

After a day hard at the soldering iron, the first train completed a circuit of the new Avonwick. It has shown that there are a couple of areas that need tweaking but that's a job for tomorrow!

 

As an additional bonus I have found that I can get the layout up in the room it lives in.

No photo's at this point, just a quick update.

Further testing and tweaking this morning has lead to satisfactory running, something that I am very happy about. I think that I now also have a workable solution for coupling of coaches, all I now need is a source of 2mm screw link couplings. I have been testing using the ones supplied by Dapol, and whilst these work fine it could get very expensive, and I feel that using brass will be easier. More thoughts on this later.
