Penwithick - Rolling Stock 3

Time for an update on the Tiger!

I picked up some OLEO buffers at Leamington Show and filed the tops and bottoms flat to produce Tiger-like buffers.

I sprayed the Tiger white and painted the cover grey (After a debate as to whether it was grey, white or grey but covered in white  ). This wasn't without it's issues as the masking for the grey pulled away some of the white which then had to be touched up.

Next I applied the decals I had printed, I missed out a couple as I was paying per colour and found it was better(cheaper) to use fewer colours. Weathering will be tactically applied where these decals should be.

Anyway, hopefully it looks more like a Tiger than it did!

That's looking tidy mate, lovely. I can't see where the white was touched up - nice one.

Bring on the clay dirt

I have decals for 8 for though I think perhaps 3 or 4 is a more realistic number. The next 2 or 3 I will build in parallel. Next project will probably be my rake of 4 PRAs I have sat on the workbench so the rest of the Tigers will probablly follow those. I also have a Polybulk to do; The list keeps on going as I have a couple of Tullis Russell wagons as well.....Watch this space!

Cheers,

Jack

Excellent work Jack.

Any chance that the Tigers will be available for sale (I presume they are more 3D printing from Shapeways)?

ooohh....now that is tempting... :D

....problem is, I haven't found any photos of them on the Looe branch....only hoods and CDA's...guess I could have one on Moorswater viaduct hauled by a class 46...sure I have a photo of this somewhere...

many thanks indeed Jack
