Right photos are now on the computer so I'll pop a few of the better ones up here.

A quick view showing the front of the layout. I was in the centre and the layout could be seen from both sides. Lucky that I had modified it so that it was viewable from both sides!

And a view from the back. Something that strikes me having looked at this is the expanse of hardboard that you can see on the back of the main board. I know that at many exhibitions this would not be seen but I do feel that I need to consider how to hide this. A rather unexpected outcome that.

The final photo, just a quick one to show a short freight being run using a sort of three link coupling. I did find that the kit built brake van was prone to sticking and the weight of this then caused derailments, so something else for me to be looking at.

Lookin good Kris - the display board turned out rather well...can't quite see from the photos, but did you attach something on train movements?

In terms of the rear of the hardboard, I wouldn't let it worry you...slap a bit of black paint on it all, and it will sort of disappear.

I heard talk of how fine the manor was...but all your photos show diesels :P Not that I am complaining you understand ;)

I popped up a little section giving the loco's in use on the day (bottom right of the board). These were only blue tacked on to make for easy changing. The information suffered from minor damage during transportation so I need to re do this at some point, though whether this gets done before the next outing is up in the air at the moment, there are more important tasks to sort. I have some photos of the manor hauling the Toplights so I may get those up at some point. I did find that the Manor will not haul 4 heavy coaches up a 1 in 50 (ish) incline on a 2.5ft radius.

Yep it looks good Kris.

I also wouldn't be unduly concerned about the rear of the boards - everyone knows it IS the back!

The noticeboard is a nice touch alright.

And now I see where the bridge section fits in!

Shame about the diesels... :P
